Cedarbrook Learning Connections
SAVE THE DATE: Aug. 31st is our Unschooling Picnic at the Hitchcock Free Academy in Brimfield from 11-1PM. Bring a lunch and have our children play on the Cedar Trees and around the brook (hence our name) for some outdoor fun. Bring a picnic and tour our classroom. Remember Fridays are FREE so if you can’t join us on Wednesday, come play on Fridays throughout the “school-year!” More info coming: www.cedarbrooklearningconnections.org for our full calendar of events.
Wednesday Class (starting Oct. 13th) at the Hitchcock Free Academy:
An educational enrichment class open to homeschooling children. Included will be nature studies from the Mass. Audubon Society, introduction to Spanish, a reading incentive program and more. This class will be facilitated by a Teacher and an approved Cedarbrook volunteer. A list of needed supplies will be provided at the time of registration. Time: Wed. 9:30 am.- 2:00pm; Ages: 5-10; Cost:$54/per child/ for 4 weeks
Cedarbrook Fridays (starting Oct. 15th)- Grouped activities such as science and games for homeschooling families to create and explore together. Science time will be based on award winning science kits and the room is a open classroom of activities if child would rather explore a different topic. Other stations to create and explore includes legos, playdough/clay, painting, scholastic books, phonics, games and more. Creating a place where our children can grow together and be supported in their journey of learning. Time: Friday 10 am.- 12:00pm; Ages: 5-10; Cost: FREE!! Bring a lunch to stay and play after and play on the cedar trees!
