Important Information

  • Families will be asked to sign a copy of our Expectations on the first day of each session.
  • Some of our participants have nut allergies, therefore, we maintain a strict nut-free policy during our programs (with the exception of animal care programs).  However, if your children have nut allergies, please be aware that neither the Lutz Children’s Museum or the Oak Grove Nature center are nut-free environments.
  • All participants must be members of the Lutz Children’s Museum.  Lutz membership is pro-rated for the calendar year and includes a reciprocal arrangement with both Children’s Museums (ACM) and Science Museums (ASTC). Having a membership with a different museum that has a reciprocal arrangement with the Lutz is not sufficient for participation.
  • Our programs are made possible by the volunteer efforts of our community as a whole.  Most of our classes our taught by parent volunteers.  Not only do these parents provide us with their energy and expertise, they also bend over backwards to keep their costs low so that they can make their classes affordable.  Those parents who do not teach classes are expected to volunteer for other community jobs, such as monitoring the common areas, assisting teachers or helping to clean up the museum.  We thank you all for doing your part to ensure the success of our community. We could not do it alone.
